The southern area in Parkdale is primarily a quiet residential neighborhood. At least it is most of the year. In July, many residents just head out of the city when the Indy races take place at Exhibition Place. Likewise, in August, residents also have to put up with the CNE.
The little used Allan Lamport Stadium remains standing mainly for one reason: This is the only city facility named after this particular former city mayor. The day I wandered through this neighborhood with my camera, a field hockey game was in progress.
