Queen & Woodbine
This intersection marks the western end of the trendy Beaches neighborhood. As you go eastward along Queen, the atmosphere changes dramatically. Traffic starts to bunch up, and the shops take on much more flair and style.
To the south-west is a new residential neighborhood on the former site of the Greenwood race track. Even earlier, the race track was called Woodbine. The race track was renamed when a new larger Woodbine race track was built in the north-west corner of Etobicoke. Half of the former race track property was set aside as a park.
