Yonge and King
While rushing along to catch your train at Union Station, it's easy to overlook the attractive old buildings along Yonge Street between Richmond and King. Whereas many of the old buildings at King and Bay have been flattened to make way for more modern skyscrapers, these buildings have so far been spared.
On March 10, 1927, automatic traffic signals were installed at Yonge and King, and also at Yonge and Queen. Later that month, on March 21, motorists were allowed to turn right on a red light after coming to a complete stop.
