Belvedere August 1994, Vienna, Austria View towards the center of Vienna from the gardens at the Belvedere. The two palaces were built as a summer residence for Prince Eugene of Savony. The Lower Belvedere, seen in this photo, was built between 1714 and 1716. The Upper Belvedere was built 1721-1723. Today, they house a number of museums.
