Stained Glass at Science North June, 2001. Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. Stained glass picture of astronauts on the Moon. During the 1960's Apollo astronauts trained in the Sudbury region since the landscape most closely resembled what they expected to find on the Moon. After years of ore smelting, air pollution killed much of the vegetation surrounding the city. Today, after much effort and money spent, Sudbury's landscape is now much more green.
