Stained-glass Window Margarita Island, February 2001. Stained-glass window in the Church of the Virgin of the Valley. In the upper left corner is a picture of the virgin. Many people pray to the virgin for help, and a neighboring building houses the many gifts that believers give to the church after their prayers are fulfilled. Inside the church is a statue of the virgin. Every year, the dress worn by the statue is replaced, and it's considered a great honor to be chosen to sew a new dress.
