May 1997, Berlin, Germany

The Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church has become a poignant symbol of the city of Berlin. Originally built between 1891 and 1895 as a memorial to Kaiser Wilhelm I, the church was largely destroyed during World War II.

After we arrived in Berlin, while Sylvana was recovering from jet lag, this is the first place in the city I visited.
