Burg Hohenzollern

D-Hohenzollern.jpeg

June 1991, Hechingen, Germany

Burg Hohenzollern commands one of the most impressive locations of all German castles, sitting on one of the many volcanic remnants in Württemberg. This castle is a home of the Hohenzollern dynasty, which included kings of Prussia, as well as the first Kaisers of the German empire. The chapel temporarily held the tomb of Frederick the Great before it was returned to Potsdam.

When visiting, be sure to check out the impressive view from a hill behind the castle.
