Bayrischzell Landscape May 1992, Bayrischzell-Geitau, Germany This is the first photo I took during my 1992 visit to Germany, taken from my hotel room. It shows a typical landscape in the Bavarian Alps. The house in the foreground is typical, with shallow and wide roof, white stucco exterior, and wrap-around balconies. This was my view for five days. From here, I took excursions to Munich and Salzburg. One evening after dinner, I walked to a glider landing strip, where I watched a couple of gliders land.
