Landshut is an attractive city on the river Isar. The broad main street in the old town is lined with colorful buildings with distinctive gables that are more typical of Northern Germany or the Netherlands. In the background of the photo, sitting on a hill overlooking the town, is Burg Trausnitz. The statue in the foreground honors the soldiers of Landshut who died during the First World War.
