Waterfalls at Triberg

photo

June 1991, Schwäbisch Hall, Germany

In the midst of the Black Forest, the water of the Gutach cascades down the waterfalls at Triberg. Falling 162m in a number of small steps, this is the highest waterfall in Germany. Further downstream, the water flows into a tributary of the Rhine. A short distance from here is the source of the Danube, which flows in the opposite direction.
