Wallfahrtskirche Vierzehnheiligen June 1993, Lichtenfels, Germany In 1445 and 1446, a herdsman resting on this spot was visited by a number of visions, including the Christ Child among 14 saints. The worship of these saints was encouraged by the Dominicans and Cistercians, and in the 18th Century, this pilgrimage church was built. Inside are statues depicting the 14 saints:
