Field Level at Olympic Stadium Montréal, Québec, Canada Visiting the Olympic Stadium, it's hard to believe this was the site of the 1976 Summer Olympics. Although then Mayor Jean Drapeau stated that going into debt was as likely as a man having a baby, the city is still paying off the loans for the Olympics. Today, the stadium still hosts the Montréal Expos, but who knows for how much longer? The Olympic swimming pools are used for public swimming, and the Velodrome today houses an ecology museum.
