Former US Pavilion![]() Montréal, Québec, Canada For those of us who visited Expo 67, the US pavilion designed by Buckminster Fuller was one of the highlights. Today, it's one of the few buildings remaining on the Expo 67 site on Île Ste Hélène. Most of the Expo 67 islands have been converted into parkland. A fire destroyed the shell, and so now the dome consists of just the frame. The building now houses an ecology museum, the Biosphère. On the other main Expo 67 island, Île Notre Dame, you can still find the French pavilion, now a casino, as well as a Grand Prix race course. Other pictures like this one can be found at Montréal. |
