Locomotive of the South Simcoe Railway![]() Summer 1993, South Simcoe Railway, Tottenham, Canada For almost a decade, the old Canadian Pacific locomotive 136 has been carrying passengers at the South Simcoe Railway in Tottenham, about an hour north-west of Toronto. The train runs about two kilometers backwards along the track, then returns back to Tottenham. For many years, #136 and another old steam locomotive had been in storage while Canadian Pacific wondered what to do with them. Meanwhile, a group in Tottenham had acquired a length of abandoned track, but had nothing to run on it. When someone from CP sat next to someone from Tottenham on a plane trip, the solution became obvious and the South Simcoe Railway had its rolling stock!
