Jumbo Monument in St. Thomas
St. Thomas, Ontario; August 12, 2000.
Jumbo was an unusually large elephant belonging to P.T. Barnum's circus.
In 1885, however, Jumbo was killed by a train in St. Thomas, Ontario.
This life-sized monument was erected in 1985 in commemoration of that
tragic event.
