<title>2005/06 Wrap-Up</title>
<link>http://www.boldts.net/blog/2006/05/23#2005.06.2</link>
<description><p>We finished the 2005/06 season a couple of weeks ago, and I'd like to mention
a few highlights of the year. For me, as I
<a href="/blog/Bowling/2005.06.1.html">mentioned before</a>, I started out the
season well below where I felt I should be. But I made it my goal to advance at
least one position in the overall standings each week, and I eventually pulled
myself back to an average in the 170's. More specifically, I made it back to an
average of 173.7, more or less the same as my end of season average last year.</p>

<title>Bowling: Individual or Team Sport?</title>
<link>http://www.boldts.net/blog/2005/12/06#IndividualAndTeamGame</link>
<description><p>There are two ways to look at bowling. The first is as an individual game.
Every week, we try to improve on our own personal average. As an
indication of the importance of the individual game, the league gives
eight awards to individual high single and high triple, flat and
handicapped, men and women.</p>

<title>2005/06 Season So Far</title>
<link>http://www.boldts.net/blog/2005/11/29#2005.06.1</link>
<description><p>Well, we're now 12 weeks into the current bowling season. I've been hesitant to
comment up until now since I've been bowling so lousy. But for the past few weeks,
things have been picking up.</p>

<title>My First 300 Game</title>
<link>http://www.boldts.net/blog/2005/03/10#MyFirst300</link>
<description><p>Occasionally, some significant moment becomes indelibly lodged into
your memory. For me, such times include my wedding day, the birth
of my daughter, and the evening I bowled my first game over 300.</p>

<title>St. Christopher</title>
<link>http://www.boldts.net/blog/2005/02/24#StChristopher</link>
<description><p>One evening a week, I bowl in a five-pin league. Sometimes I do well, but other
times not. Some days I make a minor change to my technique, get into a groove, and
then think I have the game figured out. But then the bowling gods get annoyed by my
impertinance, and my game goes downhill yet again.</p>
