Port Union is the bedroom community at the south-east corner of Scarborough, bounded by Highland Creek, former Highway 2A, Rouge River, and Lake Ontario. For convenience, we lump together the communities of Port Union Village, Centennial, and West Rouge in this part of the web site.
Shopping plaza on Lawrence Avenue East at Port Union Road.
Port Union consists primarily of single-family homes with some townhouses near the Rouge Hill GO station. Small retail plazas can be found on Lawrence Avenue East, Port Union Road, Lawson Road, and Island Road. There was once an industrial area south of Lawrence Avenue East, but it was replaced by a new housing development.
