September 1994, Passau, Germany
The fortress offers great views of Passau from several spots. The best view of the Dreiflusseck is from a patio accessible through the museum. A tower also provides some impressive views. This photo, taken on a dreary overcast September day, is from a point just to the west of the fortress.

Passau is one of the more attractive cities in Germany, described as one of the seven most beautiful cities in the world by naturalist and geographer Alexander von Humboldt. The main geographical feature is the confluence of three rivers at one place: Inn, Danube, and Ilz.
