        Visser was a student of JGR Acquoy and promoted under F. Piper. W. Moll and also Acquoy had already Hendrik Madne highlighted as the best writer in the vernacular that produced Windesheim. Brought Visser in his thesis about Mande and a connecting thereto article NedAK still six unpublished writings by him to light.

        As a pastor in Assen showed Visser great interest in the social work. Q. held many administrative positions, to he was a member of the General Synod of the Reformed. Church and secretary of the prov. church government of Drenthe. He was a supporter of the vrijz. direction.
