Brockton is another working class community along Dundas Street West. Along the south and west of this community run several sets of railroad tracks belonging to CN and CP, along with some old factories.

The above photo shows two streetcars heading westbound along Dundas. The first is a 506 streetcar that turned right onto Dundas from College Street. In a few blocks, it will turn left on Howard Park Avenue and will end its run at High Park. The second runs on the 505 route along Dundas Street, and will end its run at Bloor and Dundas.

The 388 hectare town of Brockton was annexed by the city of Toronto on March 25, 1884.
