Clarence Square
View up Spadina Avenue at Clarence Square.
The Fashion District is not totally devoid of park space. Clarence Square is a small park where Wellington Street West meets Spadina Avenue. In the north-west corner of the park is a historical plaque honoring Alexander Dunn, born near the park, who was the first Candian recipient of the Victoria Cross. On October 25, 1854, he was a participant in the charge of the Light Brigade at Balaclava, saving the lives of two others in his regiment.
Well-worn paths through the park.
