St. John's Cemetery Norway.

At one time, there was a village here called Norway. Some say the village was named for the Norwegian settlers. Others say it was named after the Norwegian pines that graced the area. But now, no one knows for sure.

A cemetery covers the hill behind St. John's Norway church. This hill offers some nice views of the neighborhood to the north.

Cemeteries can be interesting places to visit. A tombstome marks not a persons death, but honors his life. Looking over the field of stones, you feel the power and influence of the lives of hundreds of people. And you get some sense of the history of the area.
